Our story started 3 decades ago
Damien in 1991 at St. Joseph’s School Invention Fair
Our Founder & CEO’s story in the renewable energy space started 3 decades, when he entered the seventh grade invention fair at the St. Joseph’s School in Millbrook, NY at 12 years old.
After spending a number of years pursuing law Damien returned to the renewable energy space leading sales teams for major solar companies like Sungevity – where he and his brothers were consistently the top solar energy consultants in the NY region.
After leaving Sungevity Damien led the inside sales team at Dandelion, the nation’s largest residential geothermal heating & cooling company. With his Dandelion experience behind him, he came up with a brilliant idea…
“If a geothermal system can provide heating and cooling to a person’s home because the temperature of the earth is ~50 degrees all year, why can’t we use a basement to provide cooling to homes in the summer months while savings folks $100s / year on their cooling bills?”
